Frequently asked questions
Who can I pay in a bulk payment?
Anyone with an M-PESA number, paybill, till, or bank account: casual workers, staff, agents, customers, and suppliers. One batch can mix them.
What does the spreadsheet need?
A name, a phone number or account, and an amount for each person. You can add a note or reference, and match your own column names when you upload.
What happens if a payment fails?
The other lines still go through. The failed line shows the reason, its money stays reserved, and you can fix the number and resend only that line.
Can I stop someone being paid twice?
Yes. Bizflow flags repeated rows in the same list and people already paid in another batch that week before you approve.
How is a bulk payment approved?
Once, for the whole batch, following your approval route. The money is reserved in the wallet when it is approved, so it can't be spent elsewhere.
What does it cost?
Standard M-PESA and bank transfer charges apply to each line. Every fee shows on the batch report and the wallet statement.
